Appointment Structure
Initial appointment | 30 mins, $195
- Gathering of clinical history taken related to the medical issue requiring MC support
- Particular focus on specific functional and quality of life activities impacted or limited by the presenting condition
- Review of existing and previously used medications
- Assessment of suitability for MC based therapy
- Education regarding role and use of available treatment modalities
- Tailoring of an individualised treatment plan arrived at in partnership between doctor and patient
- Optimisation of conventional medications and or supplements
- Advice regarding non-medication based techniques and how these may be made more sustainable or effective with MC support
- Medication weaning advice
- Scripting of medications to supply 8-10 weeks of expected treatment
- Medication available for dispensing at the time of consultation
Clinic Transfer Appointment | 20 mins, $125
- As above, more focussed approach given existing patient knowledge and experience with MC
- Supplemental patient education
- Review of existing MC regime
- Scripting of new / continuing medications
- Next appointment at maintenance rate
Review Appointment | 15 mins $120
- Review of MC regime as scripted on initial consultation regarding treatment goals and side effects
- Refinements made to treatment plan as required
- If goals being met, scripting of medication to supply 3-4 months of treatment
- If significant changes to the MC regime have been required, your doctor may suggest an earlier review
Maintenance Appointment | 10 mins $85
- Scripting of medications for which prior usage education has been provided to cover expected supply of 3-4 months
- Scripting of medications for which such education has not been previously provided should occur via a review appointment
Patient Experience
- Being a patient with Budding Wellness entitles you to ongoing support from your doctor
- Written dosing and medication administration guidance provided
- Documentary support for employers / travel on request
- Such ancillary services are our pleasure to offer as a courtesy with your treatment
DVA Patients
- Information and support in applying for approval for MC funding via DVA
- Application paperwork done as an inclusion with standard initial appointment
- Scripting of medications if desired for use by self funding while application is assessed
- Scripting of DVA authorised medications at review appointment cost once approved due to time required to authorise scripts with DVA
